Now let me tell you it wasn't all that long ago that I lacked the time budget and knowledge needed to grow my small business as a body sugaring Pro. When that runs on its own, it gives me the lifestyle and freedom that I only used to dream of. I created the sugar show to hand you my secrets and give you the simple step-by-step strategies to help you do the same. So if you're a cosmetologist or esthetician or wax professional, who's looking to fill your books, make more money in your business and enjoy greater balance between your work and home life. You are in the right place. Let's dive in.

Each week, we like to start with some inspiration from our sugar tribe. And this week, I want to recognize Belinda B. She left a review inside our basic certification course that said Ah ha. Now I get it Shannon. Thanks for breaking this down for me. I love those aha moments. You know these moments when your brain and your hand connect and the mold inflicts finally feel effortless. Cheers to you, Belinda, and the many others who are new to sugaring and working hard to get that technique, right. So whether you are a new listener or a longtime fan, and you haven't left a review yet, my team would really appreciate it if you did. All you have to do is tap those five stars and read a sentence or two, letting us know how the show has made a difference in your sugar journey.

So let's get back to talking about FOMO. Even I had to ask my teenage son a few years ago what that meant. And when he said Fear Of Missing Out, my heart sank. Because it's so true. Every one of us no matter if we are just curious about sugaring, or have been sugaring for a few years feel or have felt at times like everyone else is having fun. Seeing amazing clients, easily sugaring taking extravagant vacations because our businesses are so successful. You might even feel like you are relatively successful, but you feel alone on this journey. And I so understand. So my team and I got together to really identify the needs of our sugar colleagues. From demos to biz help. We realized that after nine years of working with estheticians, we need a community to help us grow to the next level. If there were an official title, I would consider myself a master sugar Pro. But even I need the supportive community to learn the latest trends, techniques, products, and strategies to grow and build my business. You cannot be a badass boss, babe without a strong community. You can't grow your business on an island. No matter how independent you are. We are all students. We are all in need touching base and uncovering new ideas. And even in teaching others we grow too. We need to feel like we have no fear of missing out because we are all connected. So in last week's episode, you heard my recent Phoenix process I've been through earlier this year. And with any transformation comes the clarity of the next step. So my team and I went through the exercise of forming our mission statement or manifesto, if you will, for the sugar tribe. We wanted to be crystal clear on the message of this group, and why we are working together. So let me read it for you. We are extraordinary beauty experts ambitiously creating our own sweet destiny. We show up, we want to learn, we want to inspire. We don't follow trends, we create them to provide only the best for our clients. We are confident we are determined, we are passionate, we are beautiful together. And we know that simple ingredients can do great things. We put down the wax stick and know that it's more than a treatment. It's an experience. As a tribe, we engage together, show up beside each other and learn from each other. We are building sugar empires to lead the way and influence the new beauty industry. We care about our planet and our skin. And we have bravely made the sweet switch to something better. Welcome to the sugar tribe. That was a manifesto we came up with again, it's it's a bit of a mission statement. And there were so many things that my team and I put kind of up on the wall and brainstormed about because it's so funny that three little ingredients can mean so much in so many ways to so many different people. And you know, like when we sugar our clients, it can help them with so many things self confidence, self image, just smooth

skin, you know, glowing results. When we are sugaring we experience such a great just sense of freedom in the treatment room because we can really provide our clients with a service that makes them feel happy. And truly I never thought I would say this, but makes us feel happy as well. So what's really important for my team and for all of us to understand is that it's time for more of a movement. It's time for this sweet switch movement, so that we can grow together to learn and laugh and enjoy what we do together. No matter which Sugar Company you use, no matter which country you're in. And as long as you are a certified sugaring professional or working your way towards certification, this sugar tribe community is for you. And truly, we want you to make sure that you understand that it's not about oh, I'm following this company or this influencer. It's about how we can all help each other together to grow and be amazing business pros, or employees or day spa owners. And we're going to do that together. So inside the sugar tribe, you will meet other sugaring pros at various levels. You'll get monthly support not only for myself, but masters in the beauty and business industries have a network of certified pros you can refer to and vice versa, and connect with vendors who are eager to engage with you to share their wisdom and products that can help you build your businesses. In the coming year, we will begin to extend our reach to hands-on events to from training classes to full blown summits, our team is working hard to make sure that we not only connect virtually, but live this next year, it's time to get a hug and laugh with your colleagues. So sometimes in those socials when you are seeing other estheticians, or other spa owners or another employees or students. And it feels like they're doing all of these amazing things, and you're not. I want you to remind yourself that social media is just social media. And unless we act on it and really work together, everyone will constantly feel like we're in a state of competition. We are not in competition with each other. Let me say that again. We are not in competition with each other. If someone is sugaring and does a beautiful job, I applaud her. If someone reaches out and wants to meet you and maybe learn to sugar or get some tips and tricks, applaud them, work with them. Because that is what will help this industry to grow. That is what will help you be fulfilled. And in turn it will reflect on to your clients. I promise you that if you see someone and you kind of start to feel green with envy, or you start to feel less, check yourself because you are doing a beautiful job no matter what level you're at. Sometimes people feel as though they just don't sugar well enough, you're doing a great job, just keep practicing. Or maybe you feel like, Oh, well, this Sugar Company is better than that sugar company know, all the professional sugar supply companies are amazing. They might have a soft paste that works better in your treatment room, or affirm paste, a cleanser that you love, or you absolutely love the smell of their home care. Or maybe it really just doesn't love the look of their design or their logos. It's okay, everyone is going to find their place. And I hope that you don't ever feel alone in this and you don't ever feel any fear of missing out because that is the exact opposite of what we want for our industry and

10:53

what we want for you and our lives. So if you are interested in how to use sugaring to build a strong fan business foundation, like I have mine, our team has created so many Reese's resources for you. So there's the Tick Tock and Instagram like everybody is on. And you know, to be honest, I had to overcome my tech brain because I've been shooting videos and teaching people for so long. The thought of doing some of these dances or voiceovers or pointing at quotes, like ah, that's a lot for me to wrap my brain around. But now I realize that these tools can really help people to not feel alone. And if you're in your treatment room, take a look at our tic toc. Take a look at our socials. And hopefully they will inspire you. Instead of feeling like somebody else is doing something better than you. Check the links in the show notes below for more direction to resources we have for you. So not only do we have socials, but we have our sugar network, which is if you are sugaring already, you should absolutely be on it and being inside our sugar tribe, you automatically get included. And if you are someone who's looking to get sugar and you're kind of thinking about sugar, you can find a certified sugar professional near you. Now, it's taken a tiny bit of time to get the sugar network where every single Sugar Company is using it and every single sugar Pro is using it. And that's just awareness. So the more that you rate and review and engage and become a part of this community, the stronger that we can be together and you will never ever, ever have to be alone. So share this podcast with your friends that are in the industry, share it with your colleagues or maybe even your spa owner if they're thinking about bringing on sugar because we want to make sure that you are as successful as we possibly can. So again, if you're interested in learning more about body sugaring in general, we highly advise that you get properly sugar certified with our brand-neutral education course is sugar University. And you can find out more about that at the link in the show notes. Next week, tune in to meet Sadie Andrews she has successfully switched all of her waxing practice to all sugaring. So she was so successful and Vectra places called nitty gritty wax studio, and so she was really into relaxing and now she has switched in fact her sugar pot or wax pot broke and she switched to sugar and did not replace her wax pot. So Sadie and I dive into her sugaring journey next week to inspire you to take the first step towards putting down that wax stick. My dear friends and colleagues It is an honor to work beside you work with you. You are never alone. And if you ever do feel that way, reach out to our sugar tribe. message us inside our socials, send me an email all of those links are below because now is the time for us to work together to make sure that we can be the most amazing sugar pros that we possibly can be. I look forward to sharing with you next week and until then, stay sweet
